PRODUCT RANGE

WHEELS: Forged monobloc wheels for all manner of freight, passenger and locomotive applications, including provision for bolt-on disc brakes where required.

TYRES: We supply rolled steel tyres in BS5892 Pt 4 typically grades B5E and B6E for rolling stock and traction applications where cast or forged steel centres are incorporated. Normally tyres are supplied in rough machined condition for finish machining and assembly by others. A speciality is the resilient wheel type tyre (as fitted to street-going Metros), where we supply both fully machined tyres and the intervening rubber blocks and bonding links.

AXLES: Forged steel axles finished-machined for all rail applications, traction or rolling stock types.

MANUFACTURE: RWB Wheels, Tyres and Axles are manufactured to GM/RT 2470 standards by manufacturers approved and audited on behalf of the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB). For further details, visit the RSSB website.

BRAKE EQUIPMENT: RWB supply from stock a wide range of consumable spares for vacuum brake rolling stock, including rolling rings, joint rings, neck rings, piston rod gaiters, release valve diaphrams, hoses and seals. Other valves and parts including train air brake components are available to order.

RWB also supply cast-iron and composition brake blocks for a wide variety of locomotives and rolling stock, especially locomotives and rolling stock in the industrial and heritage markets.
